You've got a long list here. What about narrowing it down to a few essential items. We have whitish, reddish, and orangish wood, so we need at most six or so other colors, and I think 2 or 3 would be as many as I'd want. Same with stone, it's only a different shade of color so how many shades do I need? Only yellow, purple, brown, and dark grey are missing.

Now, gems we need more of. At least 4 types, one for each element for the magic systems that people are going to implement.

Metals: which of those metals are going to improve gameplay? I think one ultimate, incredibly overpriced metal would be good, especially if it has to go through some complex alloying process that takes a ridiculous amount of time to make anything out of, but the metal so created is twice as strong as steel or something.

As I wrote in the very first sentence of this list:
"Description: I just wanted to make a big thread about new resources, so that RoboBob can simply go over this list and be easily inspired to add some of them into the game. Some of them are from my first suggestion list -"

I didn't say every one of them (however I would love that) but some of them would be nice to have.

More wood (Eben, for the black color, pear tree for the fruit, Mallorn for durability - a shield made from it would be the same as a steel shield for example, but lighter and had some different stats, bamboo),

gems (all of those I wrote down. Those are the basics,

metals (something better than steel. Perhaps two more metals, that could be melted down together with obsidian to make the ultimate metal),

some more stones (quartzite, flint, perhaps a crystal type),

glass (and sand), chitin, more meat and bones from the existing (bones from a skeleton for example),

a few more plants (I'm thinking peas, radishes, figs, rose hips, blackberries),

some animals (ponies, giant bees for honeymaking, giant worms, giant snails), and another type of soil (Chernozem (extremely fertile))

As I said in another thread I made - I won't take anything FROM the list, only update new items INTO the list. I HATE SIMPLIFICATION. If people want to have simplicity and less items, they can play those retarded mobile games or something... I made a new thread - a poll, in which you can choose what suggestion type you feel should be added into the game the most, and also you can write down 10 things you personally think should be added the most specifically.

What about Amaranth (heart of wood)? It's a great purple wood, it grows tall though, so mabey have 2 stage growing, the second stage giving 2 logs? Idk, Black Ironwood too, nice dark color, harder to work though, being one of the hardest hardwoods. Redwood as well? It would be like Amaranth with the 2 stage growth, depending on which variant you go with. Another good dark wood would be Ebony.

As for stones Slate can be dark grey.

Gems, lets see... There's sapphires and emeralds already, blue and green, so we need at least red and yellow (or clear). Red could be Rubies, Red Sapphires, or Red Garnets. Yellow/clear... Diamonds? Amber mabey? Other colors could be purple (for a magic element) Amethyst, Star Garnets(Usually purple, sometimes red), and a multicolor gem (chaos) Opal, which can take on almost any color.

Metals could include brass, aluminum, aluminum brass (4× stronger than aluminum 1.5× stronger than brass) titanium, osmium(about as rare as platinum, strongest armor, slashing) tungsten( best for bolts, musket rounds and bashing weapons) any combo of the last three would make one tough metal...

Templayer: feel free to add any of these to your lists

All of those you suggested are already in my ... personal database. There are over 260 types of stones in it (a word document - each has a name, a picture from which a texture can be made, Moh's scale of hardness, and information on usage of given stone), etc. I can send them to you, if you remind me in about half a month, perhaps a month - the last resource database I am working on is the tree one (black ironwood, amaranth, redwood and ebony are already in ;) ). The databases for Ore / Metals, Soils, Gems, Rocks are finished. Plants has all the trees I could find, with names and wood texture (no pictures of actual trees yet), and non-trees and done (bamboo, blackberries, peas!, etc.). I'm also waiting for the gnomoria next version release, with the easy mod support (everything outwarded to xmls and what nots, so I can easily add stuff from my databases into the actual game!) ... perhaps I will wait a little, so it is without too many glitches. Animals / enemies, weapons / armors, tools / items and food / drinks / +their sources databases are currently in works. My brigade for summer didn't quite work out, so I have plenty of time.
Also three types of glass (classical, ash glass, crystalline glass), mant meat (green!), goblin brittle bones (no needle), skeleton butcherable (skeleton bones, tough). ...
