I created a folder in the shared repository with seeds for maps with plateaus: https://www.dropbox.com/home/map%20seeds/plateau%20seeds

Lately, in an attempt to get a change in the game experience from Gnomoria, I have been hunting for plateau maps. I'm not sure if I accomplished that objective well enough, and even if I did I'm not sure it was for the better. Experienced players will probably find these maps a bit easier overall. For most of these, it is easier to assemble a defensible position and get metals from mining (like, gems and copper at +20 or higher), but a bit harder to get an agricultural area. You can somewhat compensate for that by adjusting the map setup (difficulty and metal depth).

ANYway, if making a playthough from atop a high mountain sounds like something you would like to try, then by all means go give it a look.

Hope you'll forgive the necro'd thread as I should think keeping this sort of thing in a single thread is useful.

Like the lonely mountain one on the last page. Thanks!

Looking for more interesting seeds to share. Personally wanting more "lonely mountain" style seeds. The "egg shaped" one didn't seem to work.

Here's one that maybe has potential. Haven't played it yet. Some flat terrain areas for farming. Some sizable hills. Some sheer cliffs. Visible stone. Water. Many options here.

Settings as shown on second screenshot (default terraing settings, huge map).

a nice seed would be a flat plateau in the middle of the map, abundant with at least one type of fruit tree.

I would think everyone has their preferences, though what you suggest sounds good for building large structures (horizontally) above ground. Not sure what you mean otherwise.

stumbled on the plateau seed i was looking for.

3567657445
adjust height to preference
hill width +3 to +6
smooth 0 to +1

best on large or huge maps.  gives a large oval hill in the middle of the map.  you can lower the height to increase the plateau flatness.  plenty of trees.

I play on huge mainly due to my unliking of the super small size. Nice or decent places are hard to find but if anyone wants some black or white stone to start with look between 1 and 10 just 1 and 10 literally there pretty good but still not my style and I do not think I will ever find a good map

Seed:705052418

Very easy to build on plain. It has little water and a lot of trees. I recommend building a base in the corner where the water is.

Settings:
Map size huge
coordinates 2000000000 0
