This is nothing special by any means, but this has been my go-to seed lately. It's a nice area with a very VERY close water supply that is easy to access through that little mountain, for anyone like me who likes to bunker down. It's also got a crazy amount of Lapiz for anyone who likes blue stone. Copper one level down, and I usually find a ton of it as well.

Similarily it has a nice little flat area to the left.

On the largest size map.

While it's not even remotely flat, it is an interesting looking map with many natural looking water features.

But the best is that my gnomes have been pulling sapphires and copper ore out from so many places.  I've not even bothered to dig down, I started in the base of the side of the mountain and moved up about 2 levels and haven't even bothered to dig down and have tons of sapphires and copper thus far.

Hopefully when I am feeling up to actually expanding downards I'll start finding even better stuff, but so far so good.

I found what looks like a fun one (no water seen yet T_T guess my gnomes are going to be alcoholics haha.
Seed: 2222222222
Fill the lower boxes with 1 until you can't press 1 in either of them.

It looks pretty decent. Too bad about the lack of water currently haha.
EDIT: I am pretty sure this is on a large map

When rain is re-added, you can do 1x1 holes to collect water, and mechanical walls to control the flow once these fill up.

on standard map fill all seed numbers with 3. also the starting location... you should get lots of flat squares with various height and access to water as well.

Totally flat, haven't explored it or anything so I have no idea about caverns ect.

Seed: 3146401995
Size: Tiny
Kingdom Center: 1000000000, 10000000000 (10 digits)

edit: I guess the lack of water kinda sucks. Is there any chance of finding any underground? I've only had this game for a day so not too sure on the mechanics.

edit: #2 I've been playing with the same seed # I posted above but with different kingdom centers to see if I could get some water. Kingdom Center 999999999 (9 digits), 10000000000 (10 digits) tiny size produces the most useable map I've managed to generate, but I have no idea about caverns ect. Its 2 levels high, each flat, with water on the very edge of the map.

Apparently everyone is looking for flat worlds, but for the more mountain-loving, I just found one with a giant egg-shaped mountain. Imma terraform that beast into my own likeness. Or a gnome's, anyhow.

Has anyone found one with a large hill in the middle with some water so I can make a moat around the entire outside?

I don't have a screenshot but try, "11111111" (8 digits) on large scale... There's a huge dirt mountain right in the middle with like another granite and marble mountain inside the main mountain and half exposed. There's also a half underground and half exposed river going through half the map and up under that big mountain.. Dig into the mountain at depth 0 toward the middle and you'll have a nice base for your fortress with lots of marble and granite.

I tried this and also found a nice amount of copper to get started with.
