Depth -102
« on: May 21, 2013, 02:09:43 AM »
I am curious about this lava land at the moment.  Is this a field of infinite lava?  Something that I noted is that when i drop an enemy into depth -102 and they die within the lava, the items they are wearing is not destroyed and thus will contribute to KW and overall item count for more lag, plus your gnomes will not be able to reach it at all.

Also is the amount of heat damage taken relative to the percentage of the lava they touch?

good question... also maybe someone should put a *use for lava* in suggestions?: example... smelters/forges need a lot of heat to work... maybe we would be able to craft *stone-lava buckett* to haul the lava up from the depths to be used in our smelters/forges?

Personally I am tempted to make a large water channel and have a tunnel downward into the lava so I can see if I can produce any obsidian.

My plan is to strip mine down there and see what the rain can do to that lava. Will still take a while, though^^

i think the ammount of lava is too significant for the rain to effect it imo ;)

I want lava to destroy things, or give me some other way to destroy things, like crafting an incinerator because I think trading is super overpowered for getting steel and completely defeats the purpose of mining into the earth. I want to play without trading, but I also don't want to be up to my neck in seeds/straw. Well straw is not so bad, you can always re purpose it for live combat training. BUT SO MANY SEEDS! I also don't want emus to eat the seeds because that many emus cause lag last time I checked

This causes crashes at last report, do not attempt to water the final layer of lava.

So, after many updates, do it still cause crashes?
Sorry for my bad English (if it is bad).

That would actually be a neat feature for someone to create a mod for :)

Find or make a 32x32 pixel sprite of a Balrog.
I'll make a mod for it.

characters don't have animated frames nor do they rotate.
They are only a collection of bodypart-sprites layered over each other.
