Suggestions / Re: Many god games have charts but not this one

I think many of us would love that, but gnomoria is not longer receiving updates. The developer has moved on.

There is a re-implemntation project in the works
It is borrowing artwork from gnomoria with dev's blessing (provided ingnomia is free).

It is still early in development, but you can see the progress made so far, and give them your suggestion.

It used to be possible to download arbitrary workshop files. Google is your friend.

He has a twitter, and has responded some what recently. PM's here may not get any activity.

I have been absent for a long time from the forums and Gnomoria, comeing back to playing Gnomoria again makes me realize what a amazing game this is. I am probably flogging a long dead horse here, seeing as the development of Gnomoria is well and truly finalised :'( .However purely out of curiosity has anyone attempted to gauge wether or not Robobob as been asked about a dlc? I for one would be happy to purchase anything to do with Gnomoria content even if it is simply finishing the development to what he seemed to have in mind for the roadmap. At this stage even a kickstarter would work, either orl would generate a reasonable revenue, which seems to have been a major factor.

Thank you in advance for any response.

Twitter has some discussion with RoboB0b.  Its worth a read if you can. No mention of dlc that i can see.

Is it pointless hoping for an update for 1.0?

Almost, but the source code is posted on the first post. If you get adventurous you could give it a whack and see what happens. There are a few edits and reposts of source in the thread also.

I have seen movement on his twitter not-so-long ago. I assume it's a sign he was alive at that time, or that his spirit was so powerful that he was able to post from the place where the spirits of the ancient devs rest when the devs leave us   ::)

What movement was that? I'm unable to see anything outside what he posts, as i refuse to twit 8). Is there anything else visible?

He is.

Out of curiosity, how do you know?

Well he shoudln't make a game and ask for money if he doesn't plan on talking to the fanbase.
Thats like litterly robbing us of our money. No matter what work you made already. Thats not how developers work.

Shouldnt and cannot are different things, you're mixing those two different ideas.

If you feel particularly burned by this, quickly ask steam for a refund.

Unfortunately the dev has left : (.

I'm just about the only one lurking regularly.
In the past there have been sound related crashes on Non-windows platforms.

Try turning off music. The logs exist someplace, search these forums, I know someone else has found them before.

Are you running mods?

Did you remove or update any of them?

Can you upload your world and say at what time it crashes?

This looks like some kind of hauling error, a gnome putting things away maybe. You might have to take everyone's profession off(or take hauling off all professions) until you can find the problem.

If its a glitched container you might need to just isolate it away from all gnomes,(build a dirt box around it).

Reading the error carefully it looks like its trying to delete the file.
Clearing your temp files may help.

You may need to look up this error in regards to the Microsoft Xna Framework.

I assume you're running windows 10? Try compatibility mode on the application.

If that fails, see if you can find issues and workarounds related to the Xna framework and windows 10.

I did a min effort obituary check, months ago. This was before he removed most of his online presence. So I'd bet given the removal of his online presence after the fact, he's alive. Hopefully dev stress hasnt made him unwell.

This is great work. Good job collecting the info.

I dont see material quality in your table, I would find that helpful to include. You might clone the sheet at each material type.

Also it'd be helpful to lock visible the left two columns for anyone who doesnt have a particularly wide display.

Likes like that in other games are often a graphics card setting, searching google might help you out.

I think zbuffer settings often are part of the solution, you can look to see if you have access to that in the control panels.

the community should buy the source code from robobob and develp the all good ideas without him.

Ya know, thats not a bad idea. I wonder how much we can raise. I wonder how we could get ahold of robobob to see if he's interested.
