Or if you are referring to vertical axles they hide in walls I do believe.

Build said axle then place the floor or wall tile over them. Also I think the default key to show axles is Q

Other Games / Re: Do you play new Fallout 4 with mods?
« on: January 01, 2016, 09:36:42 AM »
Fallout 4 is not a Fallout game, it's just a new FPS game for dummies  :(

You are correct it is far from the Fallout and Fallout 2 (no one should talk about tactics, even the dev team that worked on it were not happy with it) but I still loved Fallout 3 and 4 seems decent so far. I have found a few newer games in the original Fallout style that I want to try tho...

I have it and I quite like it. I like that the modding support has been around long enough to have a lot of options.

Cant wait for there to be tons of mods for Gnomoria :D

Im not sure what I want to do about my weapon setup (early or once steel goblins arrive) as my tower taunt leader and hammer ax combo for the other 4 had mixed results as my KW rocketed up lol

I have read that breastplates and helms are the most important as you can replace the arms, legs ect. My next kingdom will be more of that play style I think, stone and leather while I tinker for traps and such.

My current kingdom I focused to much on swanky buildings and the great hall so my KW shot up and I had a hard time (sometimes still do) with the goblins and orges :p

Help and Guides / Re: Gnomes suiciding in lava??
« on: July 19, 2015, 11:02:39 AM »
I have yet to mine low enough to get to lava but it is good to know the trick to get a gnome to pick a different food/drink stockpile.

I have had gnomes do some seriously derpy things (atm its my dual pistol squad walking around the safe zone to engage the goblin attack on their side of the fence.... I think they will get a mechanical wall and trapped in there with food so they will stop derping out lol) but I cant say I have watched them go out of their way to get something done like that.

I have heard your name as I watch Aavak's youtube vids lol. He needs to do another dapperton stream! I miss his gnomoria vids!

The dev is RoboBob and I cant answer for him but i dont imagine he would mind. He does check the forums so I would assume he will answer :)

General / Re: Does meat count as food when calculating mant attacks?
« on: July 12, 2015, 11:40:42 AM »
Im almost positive that it can be eaten raw and that it does count for mants. Grain can not be eaten raw and does not count.

You are correct, everything eatable counts towards mant invasion. Which reminds me, I should dispose of my strawberries. I'm sure 8864 strawberries will attract some attention.

lol yes, yes it will draw quite a bit. I do hope mants end up serving a purpose at some point other than threat. Maybe get they chitin and use that for craftable armor or something.  I like the threat (they are evil early game, at least for me) but a bit more later in the game would be cool :)

I believe if you did not change your starting location on map creation then it should be the center. I think it uses 2 numbers so the default is 0,0

Hammer them! There chitin is a natural armor so hammers are key. Most people (like me) dual wield axes and hammers to good affect.

Not sure about the other questions tho

That is some disturbing but very important info!

I was just wondering how big of an insult to send as I could use some more 2-headed ogre leather... :D

Help and Guides / Re: Smelter question
« on: June 30, 2015, 03:58:21 PM »
That is JUST what I want. My armorer is about to get some serious workshop time!

I have a lot of low quality bronze and steel armor, I dont have the military I need right now so I want the best I can get so my new gnomads (a different issue lol) can get decent armor right from the start.

Thanks for confirming it for me :D

Help and Guides / Smelter question
« on: June 29, 2015, 05:50:13 PM »
If I set my smelter to smelt steel breastplates on repeat with a at least average selected does that mean anything that is below average will be smelted so my armorer can try again??

I know some of the workshops (like the prospector shop) the craft to works the other way and there is no tool tip for it. I know there is a way Im just not sure if people have done it manually with each armor piece and each grade individually.
